High Risk First Responder 

Overview

Quality medical training is mandatory for public safety personnel. This program is designed specifically for Federal, State & local Law Enforcement, Military Personnel and Protective Services professionals.

In this six-day block of instruction, participants will earn their Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross); Be trained in recognizing and responding to Medical Emergencies (Cardiac, Stroke, Allergic Reactions, Environmental Injuries), and receive their Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) provider certification through the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).

 

Learning Outcomes

The purpose of this course is to provide the necessary training to be a High Risk Medic in the US or abroad. Some key learning outcomes include:

  • Students will be able to identify and stop severe bleeding

  • Students will earn their CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

  • Students will earn their Tactical Combat Casualty Care Certification

  • Student will learn how to do emergency Cricothyrotomy

  • Students will be able to perform needle decompression

  • Students will be familiar with common medical emergencies & medications within the protection environment

  • Students will be able to perform basic and advanced airway skills

  • Students will apply trauma medical interventions in high-stress situations

  • Students will be able to evaluate motor vehicle accidents and perform skills accordingly
